California Department of Fish & Game released three million three-inch salmon smolts into the American River with the goal of helping to replenish the low levels of salmon we've had over the past several years. The causes are many and the solutions are few and there's certainly no guarantee that this will have a significant impact, but it's good to see some potential help coming for the local fishermen.click here for the Sac Bee article
